About the Builder

My name is Michael Zuch. I live in the northern suburbs of New York City. I play mandolin, ukulele and guitar. Not professionally, just for the fun of it. That's also the way I approach building ukuleles. I do it for the fun of it.

Here’s the deal. I build as a hobby, not as a business. I’m not looking to make a profit, just enough to keep me in materials. So I charge only for my expenses.

Are there strings attached? Yes, in every sense of the word. I don’t make The Zukulele^® for just anyone. You’ve got to show me that you possess the spirit of Aloha.You also must agree to two strict conditions: 1) You must play your Zukulele regularly, and 2) If at some point you put it aside, you must either return the instrument to me or pass it along to someone who will play it.
